I believe that all students no matter where they come from need and deserve a solid educational foundation as well as a dependable support system within the school to grow into successful and responsible adults. I strive to reach all my students' career, academic, emotional and social needs. I also work to empower the students to challenge themselves to meet their fullest potential and maximize their success whatever it may be.
Parent, community, and student involvement is very important in a school counseling and educational program, in working together to engage in the students learning process. I provide many valuable resources to students and to parents in my office, online, via email, meetings or over the phone.
My commitment to the Beaver Falls and its educational system is very evident in my past and current experiences. Being born and raised in Beaver Falls, a 1992 BFHS graduate and still live here in town. I can relate to the students. I am currently a High School Guidance Counselor . I received my Masters in School Counseling from Slippery Rock University. Prior to becoming a High School Counselor, I taught 6th grade math in the middle school and was a Title I Math Specialist in the Elementary Schools. I received my Bachelors degree in Education from Geneva College and also hold a Middle School Math Certificate. In 2012 I also earned my Principal Certificate from Gannon University. If you can't tell I hold myself, as well as my students, to high learning standards.
